Thomas Rothenberger has over 30 years of reinsurance and banking experience. Thomas held numerous senior underwriting positions at Swiss Re in Zurich, New York and London and successfully established Ariel Re’s Swiss branch where he built up a highly profitable C&S book. After transitioning the book and team to Arch Re Europe he co-founded his own company: clavis re LTD in 2013 where he continues to serve as CEO & Head of Underwriting.

Thomas has a strong track record in building and promoting profitable new business both in reinsurance and capital markets. He successfully also led Crystal Credit Ltd., the first indemnity based credit reinsurance securitisation for Swiss Re in 2006.

Thomas holds an MBA from the University of St. Gallen and is fluent in German, English and Spanish.
